Good Luck

the reason they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck is to keep the bride from freaking out.....

I've stopped freaking but I'm still soaked. AND my 15 lbs of velvet tomorrow will be too. I think we've squeezed it all under the tent, this should be fascinating...

wish us luck.

Laura, you're going to be beautiful! Even if you are wearing 15 lbs of soaked velvet!

I've never known anyone's wedding day to be a total disaster, so don't worry about it. And take this advice: Enjoy the day. I hardly even remember my wedding because I was so damn busy making sure everyone else did! Ultimately it's your special day, not theirs, so remember to make it just that.

And know that I'm thinking of you today, both of you, and sending my love and best wishes, as well.

*Hugs*

Exactly as Angie said. It is your day. So what if it is raining and Aunt somebody is unhappy. This day is only one day of many to others. This day is something you'll remember for the rest of your life. Start that life out right by enjoying yourself and being good to each other. I'll try to write for you guys later.

From spirit you come, to spirit you shall go
From your union, love will flow
The winds of reason will stir your air
to blow away your troubles and care
Your bond is forged upon the fire
Love fills your hearts with warm desire
Let water of understanding fill you up
As you drink together from wisdom's cup
The earth in her glory now smiles upon you
Know health, harmony and happiness
And to each other, be true.

Blessed be.

I think besides keeping the bride from freaking out. The reason they say that it means "it's meant to be" is because it shows determination and problem solving. If you are going to stick it out through torrental rain... you are probably going to stick it out through it all.
